Body Corporate Advice Reports

CSA Valuers provide strata building insurance advice reports for bodies corporate to assess the appropriate level of insurance cover for a building or complex that is part of a community title scheme.  This type of body corporate insurance is sometimes called strata insurance.

We provide reports for body corporate management companies as well as self-managed bodies corporate. Our detailed, full-colour reports are available in both email (PDF) and hard copy format. Each assessment includes the buildings and common property.

CSA Valuers consider the type of construction, individual lot sizes, demolition and construction costs, consultants’ fees, cost escalation/contingency and GST.  The assessment includes a percentage of the overall scheme for each individual unit and takes into account whether the scheme is registered under a building format plan or a standard format plan.

We provide body corporate insurance advice reports for different types of property such as:

  • Residential property
  • Commercial property
  • Industrial property
  • Retail property
  • Rural property

We are happy to liaise with your nominated onsite contact (such as the chairman of the body corporate) to arrange our onsite inspection.  Every courtesy is granted to owners and tenants alike to make sure they are not inconvenienced in any way.

If you would like to view a fact sheet and further information on body corporate building insurance and valuation requirements visit the Queensland Government website.  The government state that “If the body corporate has to insure 1 or more buildings, it must get those buildings valued for the full replacement cost. An independent valuation must be done at least every 5 years.”

Peace of mind comes from expert advice.
